Founder Bruce, an engineering and design teacher who pioneered projects and courses for secondary students for many years, was in the market for a pergola for his own home.

Seeing what was available, he was disappointed by the quality and frustrated by the long lead times. Resolving to build one for himself, he put his considerable experience into crafting a product that would fit his needs perfectly.

Once completed and having gone through the process for himself, he saw how his skills could be used to help others create their own ideal outdoor spaces.
